Watcher

An exit out of the room

Another being enters

Rummaging through the drawers

Possessions holding information

Given by the noticeable appearance

Revealing the different levels of sentiment

The worn-out pencil, openly displayed picture,

Securely wrapped bracelet, collection of books

All held dear and now shared

Observed but not stolen

And secrets unknowingly exposed

Returned back safe and sound

Recurring exits follow by subtle entrances

Another round of observation and information

For a wealth of knowledge to accumulate

Thorough inspection and watching

What is meaningful and dear is clear

That direct words could never have expressed

Little communication and the state of silence

With the back that has always been turned

Resorting to the objects that can speak to me
